ONE WORLD FAMILY CHARITY AUCTION 2026 ENTERS FINAL PREPARATION PHASE
Hong Kong | June 2026
The One World Family Charity Auction 2026 has entered its final preparation phase as 1SIGN Foundation, together with its international partners, advances discussions with leading auction houses regarding the most suitable live, online, or hybrid auction format.
The auction is being developed as the founding cultural and philanthropic event of the One World Family platform and serves as a key activation mechanism for the One World Family Summit 2026, scheduled to take place in Hong Kong in December 2026.
At the center of the initiative stands Professor Dominic Man-Kit Lam, one of Hong Kong’s most internationally recognized contemporary artists, whose career uniquely bridges art, science, philanthropy, and cultural diplomacy.
The Legacy Behind the Auction
Professor Lam’s relationship with philanthropic auctions has already demonstrated remarkable success.
In 2015, Professor Lam was invited by Christie’s Hong Kong to present a dedicated one-man charity auction. The auction was personally supported by Christie’s leadership and became one of the most notable artist-led charity sales in Hong Kong.
As part of this historic collaboration, Christie’s Hong Kong produced and published a dedicated auction publication documenting the event and Professor Lam’s artistic achievements.
The charity auction achieved a reported result of approximately HKD 23–27 million, with proceeds supporting the humanitarian mission of ORBIS, the internationally respected organization known for restoring sight and preventing blindness worldwide.
The success of the Christie’s auction demonstrated:
- Strong collector confidence
- Proven philanthropic auction performance
- International market recognition
- The ability of art to generate meaningful social impact
Today, this experience provides an important foundation for the One World Family Charity Auction 2026.

HISTORICAL REFERENCE: CHRISTIE'S HONG KONG CHARITY AUCTION
The foundations of the One World Family Charity Auction 2026 are rooted in a proven philanthropic precedent established by Professor Dominic Man-Kit Lam.
On 26 March 2015, Christie’s Hong Kong hosted a dedicated charity auction and exhibition titled “A Celebration of Harmony”, featuring works by Professor Dominic Man-Kit Lam. The event was jointly presented by Jonathan Stone, Chairman of Asian Art at Christie’s, and Professor Dominic Man-Kit Lam, Chairman of the World Eye Organization.
Held at Christie’s Hong Kong in Alexandra House, Central, the auction represented a rare one-artist charity sale dedicated entirely to humanitarian purposes. All proceeds from the exhibition and auction were donated to the World Eye Organization, supporting international efforts in eye care and blindness prevention.
The event achieved reported proceeds of approximately HKD 23–27 million, demonstrating strong collector confidence and the ability of art to generate meaningful social impact through philanthropy.
The success of this landmark Christie’s auction remains an important reference point for the development of the One World Family Charity Auction 2026, which will once again unite art, culture, philanthropy, and international cooperation in support of children, families, and future generations.
Today, more than a decade later, Professor Dominic Man-Kit Lam continues this humanitarian legacy through the One World Family initiative, where approximately 20 selected artworks, calligraphy pieces, and the symbolic “200 Hearts” collaborative artworks created by children from Hong Kong, China, and Europe are being prepared as part of a new charitable auction platform in Hong Kong.
