The Birth of 200 Hearts

On 22 May 2026, children from Saint Hilary School in Hong Kong began the first canvas of the 200 Hearts project in cooperation with CECES, a leading Hong Kong organization supporting children and families since 1982. During his visit, Professor Dominic Man-Kit Lam personally met the children, emphasizing the values of love, friendship, and the Dove of Peace. The project continued in Europe through LKMŠ Ostrava, a unique Czech institution founded in 1957, where children created the second canvas. Initiated by the 1SIGN Foundation as part of the One World Family (OWF) initiative, the artworks form the foundation of a charity auction supporting children, education, culture, and future generations. The project also serves as the starting point for long-term East–West cooperation programs planned for 2026–2029.

200 Hearts connecting East & West

Initiated by the 1SIGN Foundation, the project demonstrates how art can connect cultures, generations, and communities through a common message of hope and understanding. At Saint Hilary School in Hong Kong, dozens of children enthusiastically contributed to the first canvas, expressing their emotions, dreams, vision of home, love, friendship, and their inner world through colors and artistic expression. Some children became so engaged in the creative process that they painted directly with their fingers, without using brushes, adding a deeply personal and spontaneous touch to the artwork. The project was warmly supported by the school leadership, with special thanks to Ms. Isabella Anna, who guided the children throughout the painting process and helped translate the creative concept into a collaborative artwork. The resulting canvas reflects the authentic voices of children and serves as a symbol of friendship, cultural dialogue, and shared responsibility for future generations across Hong Kong, China, and Europe.

Founded in 1957, LKMŠ is one of the oldest institutions of its kind in Europe.

Children from the age of six, including children with special educational needs and disabilities, contributed to the canvas, expressing creativity, inclusion, and hope for future generations. For more than 30 years, it has maintained educational and cultural partnerships with institutions in Italy, Slovakia, and Poland, creating opportunities for international cooperation and artistic development. The project also builds on a longer history of international cultural initiatives. 200 HEARTS

100+ EAST and 100+ WEST

The 200 Hearts project is a unique international artistic collaboration that brings together more than 100 children from Hong Kong and China with more than 100 children from Europe through a shared creative vision. Initiated by the 1SIGN Foundation, the project demonstrates how art can transcend borders, languages, cultures, and generations while creating meaningful connections between children from East and West.

On 22 May 2026, internationally acclaimed artist Dominic Man-Kit Lam visited Saint Hilary School in Hong Kong, where he personally met the children who had contributed to the painting. During the event, Professor Lam shared a message centered on love, mutual respect, and the universal symbol of the dove of peace. He warmly greeted the children, shook hands with many of the young participants, and encouraged them to believe in the power of creativity to build understanding between people and cultures.

The Hong Kong canvas was created by more than one hundred children who expressed their hopes, dreams, emotions, and visions of a better world through colors, shapes, and spontaneous artistic expression. Some children became so engaged in the creative process that they painted with their own hands and fingers, leaving authentic and deeply personal traces within the artwork. Every mark on the canvas represents a child’s voice, imagination, and aspiration for the future.

The project goes beyond art itself. It serves as a symbol of friendship, cultural dialogue, and shared responsibility for future generations. By connecting children from Asia and Europe in a common creative experience, 200 Hearts reminds us that despite differences in language, nationality, or background, children share the same fundamental hopes: to live in peace, feel loved, belong to a family, and grow up in a world built on understanding rather than division.

As part of the broader One World Family initiative, 200 Hearts highlights the importance of nurturing compassion, empathy, and cooperation from an early age. The project stands as a living testament to the belief that the future of our world begins with our children—and that every child has a voice worth hearing, a story worth sharing, and a heart capable of inspiring positive change.

200 Hearts is not only a painting. It is a message from children to the world—a message of love, peace, friendship, and hope for generations to come. ❤️🕊️🌍
