Removing Systemic Obstacles to Child Protection
The Break the Barriers Program is a core initiative of the 1SIGN Foundation focused on identifying and addressing structural obstacles that prevent effective child protection.
From Idea to Action
Every initiative within the Challenges Program follows a structured and transparent process. This ensures that our work remains accountable, our partnerships are built on trust, and every contribution is directed toward measurable and sustainable impact for children and families.
1. Identifying the Need
Our work begins with evidence-based assessment and stakeholder consultation. We evaluate systemic gaps and priority risks to ensure each initiative addresses clearly defined and sustainable needs. Where appropriate, we consult with established civil society organisations and relevant international bodies to align with recognised child-protection standards.
2. Context-Driven Design
Effective solutions must be context-sensitive. Together with trusted local partners, independent experts, and, where appropriate, relevant international organisations and local UNICEF offices, we co-develop project frameworks that reflect community realities while respecting global child-protection principles.
3. Responsible Implementation
Projects are carried out in cooperation with local actors who understand the cultural, legal, and institutional landscape. Collaboration with credible NGOs and coordination with recognised child-focused institutions strengthens coherence and avoids duplication of efforts.
4. Transparency & Measurable Accountability
Structured reporting, independent evaluation, and continuous dialogue form the backbone of our governance model. Financial and narrative updates are provided at defined intervals, ensuring clarity, accountability, and measurable impact.
Turning Vision into Structured Impact
At 1SIGN Foundation, meaningful change requires structure, partnerships, and sustained engagement.
Each initiative progresses through clearly defined stages:
• Research and evidence-based assessment
• Strategic design and stakeholder alignment
• Institutional dialogue and expert consultation
• Public engagement and awareness activation
• Measurable implementation and evaluation
This approach transforms complex social challenges into coordinated responses that combine advocacy with practical outcomes.
Because ideas matter.
But implementation protects.
NGO Partnership & Impact Flow Model
Within the One World Family framework, 1SIGN applies a structured NGO Partnership & Impact Flow model:
OWF platform → trusted NGO and institutional partners → defined priority themes → measurable impact indicators → transparent public communication.
By linking global dialogue with credible local and international partners, this model ensures that awareness translates into coordinated action — and that action results in verifiable outcomes for children and families.
